Programme Description
The aim of the programme is to offer preparation for graduates seeking employment and early progression within diverse management structures of the international music and media industries. The students are able to address issues directly related to the creative/entertainment industries in the international context of their relationship with management, information technology and international business across the world.
Students will learn about the fusion of entertainment and economics, as well as that of entertainment and management. They will learn to identify various opportunities to combine managerial qualities with the empathy of artists and the creative industries. Students will become familiar with concepts related to the various management activities and methods needed in organizations, and will develop their knowledge of the opportunities for implementation and promotion within the music and media industries. Intellectual Property Rights, project management and entrepreneurship are also at the core of our programme.
The programme applies general business and management concepts to the reality of multicultural business environments in the entertainment industries, and identifies similarities and differences in terms of strategic decisions in marketing, business economics and managerial processes. Students will acquire an overall perspective of international business frameworks and management, and come to understand the essentials of human resource management and its significance for strategic and operative processes, as well as the significance of quality management as an umbrella approach to all managerial activities.
