NOTCH, aka NO+CH = NOrdic + CHinese Festival, is an annual installment to introduce top notch, forward thinking and the most up-to date Nordic art & design to China, colliding with emerging local creative forces, leading to results no one can anticipate. NOTCH has been running for 4 years covering 4 cities (Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Hong Kong) and is highly acclaimed by both media and audience. It has been selected by Time Out Beijing, Time Out Hong Kong and InMusic Magazine as the best festival of the year.
After students have studied for more than one year, most of them begin to think about their future and career life. Do I need to be an employee in some company? Or do I have the chance to run my own business? Jaakko Karhu, JAMK University of Applied Sciences student and web designer who has created the Campus Entertainment website among other things was recently interviewed by Kun Qian and was asked the following questions about his career life. Already as a student he has his own company; Karhu Creations.
Arranged for the third time here in Finland, Sencity once again brought the deaf and hearing together to enjoy this unique event on the 14th of May. The music was experienced through all the senses in night club Night Jyväskylä. Sencity 2010 gathered over 800 people to live the music and dance all night long.
Campus Entertainment was very proud to present ExSpo street culture event to the world for the first time. The event brought together professionals and beginners to enjoy breakdancing, parkouring, graffiti and skateboarding and to have a good time. The event took place at Sepänpuisto in Jyväskylä and the after party was organised at Bar Passion on Saturday the 8th of May.

Levels 2010 gaming event took place in Dynamo (JAMK University of Applied Sciences) on 10.-11.4.2010. The event was organized by Campus Entertainment. My visit to Levels was about finding out where gaming industry is today and what this event had to offer visitors.

Steam Republic is a Helsinki-based company that is tightly focused on the media field, deeply rooted in the music business, and strongly oriented to developing fan-oriented marketing applications through digital channels. The company’s first social mobile application, Mobile Backstage, is now emerging from beta testing and is targeted to launch in spring 2010. The software is currently available for iPhone, Nokia, Sony Ericsson, Samsung and other Java-based mobile devices.
